Just north of the Boca Raton border and east of Federal Highway sits Tropic Harbor, one of the prettiest condominium communities in Delray Beach.

Not a newcomer to the area, this active adult community boasts waterfront views that are not available in many south county areas. Unlike the new construction along Federal Highway, this 244-unit community sits on beautiful Tropic Bay, with views of the Intracoastal and peeks of the Atlantic. Most of the units overlook the marina, exclusive to Tropic Harbor.

Winter weekends are filled with gatherings of residents enjoying the Florida sunshine on boats from 15 to 50 feet (dockage in South Florida is a rare commodity). The community also is extremely fortunate to have a wonderful activities committee that sponsors everything from pancake breakfasts and golf leagues to black-tie galas.

Over the past two years, Tropic Harbor has undergone a renaissance. The standing board has taken on the monumental task of addressing roof maintenance, exterior painting, landscaping, replacement of elevators, and maintaining the insurance reserves to meet unexpected events (such as Hurricane Wilma).

There are six buildings in the community. While many owners spend only the winter here, others live here year-round, benefiting from the exciting changes in Delray.

The corridor from Linton to Canal 15 will be experiencing a renaissance as well. The Caldwell Theater has a new home behind the former Levitz Plaza; Federal Highway, from Linton south to the canal, will undergo a beautification program, including a Parisian-style bridge; and a wonderful mix of new businesses will soon open up in the former Winn-Dixie plaza.  Within the next 18 months the current Levitz Plaza will be transformed into a shopping/dining gallery similar to Mizner Park in Boca Raton. The area is alive with “buzz.”

Named one of the best small cities in the United States, Delray continues to offer fabulous beaches, unique boutiques, galleries and fine dining and, of course, Florida's great weather.

Tropic Harbor is just a short distance from the excitement, but offers serenity on the water. Two-bedroom, two-bath units are available. Don't miss your chance to invest in this lovely community.
